Net Health Presents at the World Health Organization’s 17th International Leprosy Congress, Hyderabad, India

PITTSBURGH, PA (February 2, 2008) – Net Health Systems, Inc. a provider of integrated software for wound management throughout the care continuum, announced that Tammy C. Luttrell, MS, CWS, FCCWS, responsible for WoundExpert® implementations, will present today at the World Health Organization’s 17th International Leprosy Congress (ILC).

Ph.D. candidate Luttrell was invited to speak by Dr. V. M. Katoch, Acting Chairman, and Dr. P. V. Ranganadha Rao, Acting Co-Chairman regarding a proposal to utilize the WoundExpert software for care of patients afflicted with leprosy at several international locations. Her abstract titled, Incorporation of statistical modeling and web-based data collection to provide foundational parameters for correlating laboratory and clinical classification describes the platform approach for documenting clinical data and collecting research data at the Joint Congress.

One of the global challenges faced by the World Health Organization and ILC is the collection of data in a unified format which can be easily distributed to the core research groups and clinicians to simultaneously assist with documenting patient outcomes and detecting corollaries between clinical presentation and research data. Research data is likely to include laboratory serology, DNA sequences within a genome (VNTR) and epidemiological and demographic information.
